Diammonium Phosphate DAP 18-46-0 fertilizer is an excellent source of P and nitrogen (N) for plant nutrition. It is highly soluble and thus dissolves quickly in soil to release plant-available phosphate and ammonium. A notable property of Diammonium Phosphate DAP 18-46-0 is the alkaline pH that develops around the dissolving granule.Since the diammonium phosphate saturated solution is alkaline, application to acidic soil can reduce the fixation of iron and aluminum to phosphorus, and the phosphorus is kept highly effective, so it is recommended to use diammonium phosphate for acidic soil.
